VISITING THE COUNTRYSIDE

Mary took us on a trip to explore the country side along the mighty Mississippi.

Ferryville - a town on our way.
This is where the ferry use to cross the Mississippi.

Lynxville a town known for fishing and duck hunting all year long.

To get to Victory we were going up hill ( they call them Bluffs). The citizens here love their fishing.

At Genoa we saw the Lock and dam. Where the barges go through pushed by a tow boot. They keep the water levels at the same height. Hugh operation.

Stoddard Fishing village and true to what they are know for. Rocky's Restaurant famous for blue cheese covered baked fish serving their guests.

A French little monument and Park Villa Louis, a beautiful replica of times gone by. It is now kept in a pristine condition as it was.
Hans wanted to visit the well known hunters shop. Cabelas at Perare du Chien Shoppers come from over the world to buy hunting stuff here. There is a hotel close by in the middle of nowhere special for shoppers of Cabelas.

Desoto town we had to stop at this Road house supper club. This is a must visit Pizza's served as big as a car tire. Never seen that before.

This Restaurant has a welcome fib as you enter. We' ll definitely go back.

Was a lovely afternoon out in the country.
