Sunday afternoon they invited us to come over to their
beautiful Victorian Mansion. This is the type of home that grows on Elisme.
They bought this " Dump" ( build in 1884 ) Kens words 21 years ago.
Hard-work and lots of Elbow
-grease and obvious $. The end product
can go in the best INTERIOR DECORATING MAGAZINES.
15:00 was the time the cooking South African lesson
started with Ken and Elisme. Buying the ingredients was another story MAIZE
MEEL is not known in this part of America the WEST Wisconsin. So Polenta flour
must do. Sheba the South African known dish was on the table. Ken, Hans and
Elisme started the chopping of all the fresh organic tomato's, and the rest of
the ingredients.
Jay join us looking whats going on, he started the fire
for the barbecue ( Americans talk about a grill).
Hans was going to do the T
Bones 6 cm thick ( he never did this size before) Mary was willing to help. The two of them did a good job.
After all the MASTER CHEFS was ready. Hans asked them to
join around the Buffet.
Elisme explained the South African way for there
family. So everybody took hands, closed their eyes, Elisme did the Prayer and
then, while holding hands they were shaking the love.
Hans explained how to
dish their plates "BOERE" way.

A table laid for a KING was waiting for the 15 of us.
Mary as always was ready with a beautiful salad and mouth
watering cranberry pie with chocolate brownies.
The chattering along the table were the proof of a very
successful evening.
Hans and Elisme were placed at the head of the table.

From our heart a big thanks, you gave us memories. We
will take with us to share with our loved once.
