For
Americans this is a day of saying thank you and doing kind things to others.
Hans
and Elisme were privileged to be part of "Thanks Giving"
in South Africa.
This
year we had the opportunity to experience it here in America.
We
started of with going to John and then to his neighbour - Laurie ( she is a
professor- has a double Doctors degree) . Concealing parents on children's
puberty questions. Her book on this subject is available on Amazon.
Once
again we met so many new friends. The breakfast was done in the American way.
New guest were just coming in. Everybody so comfortable and mingling. We feel part
of this world.
Thanks
Lori your hospitality was outstanding.
11:00am
Don and Nancy picked us up to go to her brothers farm ( Nancy grew up on this
farm)
They
will have all the family there. This will be a traditional THANKS GIVING.
Nancy's
family is a big family, they were 5 brothers and sisters, one sister sadly
passed away in a motor accident.
The
other 4 attended the lunch with their children.
Turkey
was the main attraction with every dish and filling's recipe from their Moms or
Granny's.
After
a spread of one dish more delicious as the previous. Coffee and pies was
served. One of the niece was having her birthday 14 years old.
Candles
and blowing out of them and singing, happy birthday, made us feel at
home.
Debby
was putting all this together. Thanks so much for making us part of your THANKS
GIVING.
This
will always be part of our memories.
